We’re open for breakfast, lunch and sweet-in-betweens. We also cater for special dietary needs. And, our menu is constantly changing with the seasons. Easy disability access and our lawns are pet friendly.

Esk is an exciting part of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and theBrisbane Valley Tourist Drive, full of history and we’re thrilled to be serving South East Queensland’s most divine coffee, from master roasters Elixir, as well as speciality teas. Our French Earl Grey is a particular favourite.

We’re just an hour from Brisbane and a perfect stop over whilst heading for Somerset wine country.  We were featured on Channel 7’s lifestyle program The Great South East, as a recommended tourist destination.

Our Coffee

The master coffee roasters at Elixir Coffee say, “Coffee is not just a drink that gets you through the day, it’s a way of life. A great cup of coffee can be a soothing way to start the day, or a brilliant finish to an interesting evening. Like fine wine, coffee is a natural product that needs to be nurtured. From the growing process all the way to the best part – the moment you drink it — we source, roast and blend Elixir Coffee beans to make sure your coffee drinking experience is perfection”

Organic Coffee – Our single origin organic and rain forest alliance is from Peru. Acidity is medium and sparkling bright. Body is rich and medium with herbaceous and soft chocolate flavours. The climate combined with altitude and the soil micro-climate produce an interesting flavour mix typical of the Peruvian region.

History of Lars AnDerson

This historic house was built by Lars Andersen, who arrived in Australia from his native Denmark in June 1885 aged 24. His brother Jens, was already working in Esk as a blacksmith, and Lars quickly set up business as a builder. He married Janet Dunlop and together they had 8 children. He is remembered as an excellent employer, fair and always humble and he often celebrated with his staff with picnics held in the front gardens of this beautiful house.

Wander around this equisite building; read the history on the walls and be transported back in time to a pioneering life and the people who shaped it.
